Capture a Website

What this operation supports in CloudConvert

Renders a live web page and captures it as an output file, such as a PDF or image, using CloudConvert's capture-website task type, given a URL and rendering options.

Implementation details

Because this renders the page much like a browser would, it reflects whatever that page's content looks like at the moment of capture, including any dynamic content that's finished loading by then.

Operational considerations

Pages relying on slow-loading dynamic content may need a capture delay or wait option set to avoid capturing a page before everything has actually rendered.

Use cases

Use Case 1: Archive a landing page for compliance. Use Case 2: Capture product pages for offline viewing. Use Case 3: Generate thumbnails from rendered content. Use Case 4: Prepare web content for OCR or extraction.
