Get a Form

What this operation supports in Google Forms

Retrieves a form's structure via the Forms API -- its title, description, and the full list of questions and their settings -- rather than any submitted responses.

Implementation details

Response data is retrieved through a completely separate endpoint, so getting a form's structure never returns who answered what.

Operational considerations

Because question items each carry their own item ID, mapping a specific response's answers back to the right question relies on cross-referencing those IDs from this structure call.

Use cases

Read a form's schema to drive a dynamic form editor in a connected automation tool for Google Forms.
