Create a Task

Last updated

What this operation supports in Kommo

Creates a new task, accepting the task text, a due date, and the responsible user, optionally linked to a specific lead, contact, or company.

Implementation details

Linking the task to a related record makes it show up in that record's own activity feed, rather than existing only as a standalone item on the responsible user's personal task list.

Operational considerations

A task created with a past or very near due date still gets created successfully and typically shows up as immediately overdue, so an integration backfilling historical tasks should account for the overdue notifications that can trigger as a result.

Use cases

Assign follow-up actions after a lead moves to a new stage.

  1. Create a task with due date and owner.
  2. Link to the related lead or company.
  3. Notify the assignee via connected channels.
  4. Track completion in analytics dashboards.
  5. Automatically escalate if overdue.
