Get a Task

Last updated

What this operation supports in Microsoft To Do

Retrieves a single task's details by its ID within a specific task list, including its title, due date, and completion status.

Implementation details

Because a task belongs to a specific list, both the list ID and the task ID are needed to look it up -- a task ID alone isn't enough to resolve it.

Operational considerations

Checking a task's current completion status here before updating it avoids marking an already-completed task as done again, or similar redundant updates.
