Getting started with Outseta
Getting started means connecting a Stripe account for billing, defining your pricing plans inside Outseta, and embedding Outseta's JavaScript widgets — signup form, login, pricing table, account/profile — into the pages of your own website.
Practical Details
Outseta doesn't host or build your full marketing site for you, so you (or an existing site builder) still maintain that site; Outseta's job is the signup-to-billing-to-access plumbing behind a handful of embedded widgets. For a solo founder, that setup is typically a matter of days rather than the multi-week project of wiring Stripe directly to a separate CRM and a separate email tool yourself.
Actionable Considerations
- Connect your Stripe account before creating plans, since billing runs through it
- Decide which of your site's pages need embedded widgets for signup, login, account, and pricing
- Set up at least one gated page first to confirm Outseta Auth is working as expected
- Import existing customers if you're migrating off another billing tool
