Implementing Sellsy: CRM, quotes, and invoicing as one system

Implementation begins with the data model: contacts and companies, pipeline stages that match your actual sales process, and product or service catalog entries that quotes and invoices will pull from. Getting the catalog right matters more than it sounds — inconsistent product entries are the most common reason quotes and invoices do not reconcile cleanly later.

We migrate existing data in a specific order: contacts and companies first, then historical deals if you want that pipeline history preserved, and finally open invoices and payment status, which we validate line by line against your existing accounting records before cutover. An invoicing system that goes live with wrong opening balances creates real accounting problems, not just reporting annoyance.

Quote and invoice templates get configured to match your legal and branding requirements, including the numbering sequences and mandatory fields required for compliant invoicing if you operate in France or elsewhere in the EU. We also set up the native workflow rules — payment reminders, task creation on quote acceptance, recurring invoice generation for subscription customers — as the core automation layer.

Where you need functionality Sellsy does not provide natively, we connect it through Sellsy’s REST API or its Zapier integration rather than working around the product with manual exports and re-imports, which is how most data quality problems in CRM systems start.

We test the full quote-to-cash flow end to end before go-live — creating a quote, converting it to an invoice, recording a payment, and confirming it reflects correctly in reporting — because that flow, more than any single feature, is what Sellsy is actually built to run well.
