What this operation supports in Google Calendar
Creates a new event on a calendar, with fields such as start/end time, attendees, and location.
Implementation details
Adding attendees here sends them a calendar invitation and creates the event on their own calendars too, not just the organizer's.
Operational considerations
Events need either a specific start/end date-time or an all-day date -- mixing the two formats on the same event isn't valid. Specifying a recurrence rule here creates the entire recurring series in one call rather than requiring a separate create for every individual occurrence. Omitting attendees entirely creates a private entry on just the organizer's own calendar, with no invitations sent to anyone.
