Job pricing calculator for trades
Price a job so it pays you for materials, labor, overhead and profit. Enter what the job costs. See the price to quote and the profit you keep.
How the price is built
The calculator adds up the direct costs of the job, adds a share for overhead, and then divides by one minus your margin. Dividing, not multiplying, is what makes the margin correct: it is the share of the final price that you keep.

Total yearly overhead (rent, office wages, insurance, software, marketing) divided by yearly direct costs. Many service businesses land between 15% and 30%.
Is this a flat-rate price book?
It prices one job at a time. A price book works the same way, with the hours and materials averaged for each standard task.
Is this financial, legal or tax advice?
