Dispatch, ads and AI estimating for home service companies

Septic, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest control, lawn care, cleaning and roofing companies all run on the same loop: a call comes in, a technician is sent, an estimate goes out and a review is hopefully asked for. We work on that loop. So far our hands-on work is with a septic company, so that is where you can see what is running and what is still in development.

The problems

What slows down a home service company

These come up again and again, whatever the trade. Each one points at the service that deals with it.

A schedule built in the order calls arrive

Different job types take different time and need different people. Without areas and job types, the day sends trucks back and forth.

Dispatch & route planning

Leads typed in twice

A form or call arrives, and someone retypes it into the field service tool, sometimes the next morning.

Field software integration (Housecall Pro)

Google Ads money spent on the wrong conversions

If the account counts page views or button taps as wins, it optimizes for clicks instead of calls and booked jobs.

Google Ads review

Reviews that do not reflect the work

Happy customers rarely post unprompted, and a few unanswered complaints can outweigh them in the map results.

Reviews & Google Business Profile

Estimates that go out days late

Findings sit in notes and photos until someone has time to price them, and a slow estimate is a cold estimate.

AI-assisted estimating

A website nobody has time to update

Service areas, hours and offers drift, and the site that should bring calls sits still.

Trades we work with

Septic is the trade we have worked in hands-on, so it has its own pages.

Featured · Has its own pages

Septic & aerobic

Our hands-on work so far. Seven playbooks covering dispatch, AI inspection estimates, maintenance contracts, ads, reviews and automation.

Open the septic section

HVAC

Seasonal peaks, maintenance agreements and equipment-based estimates. The same dispatch, follow-up and ads work applies.

No dedicated page yet

Plumbing

Emergency calls next to scheduled work, and estimates that depend on what is found on site.

No dedicated page yet

Electrical

Mixed residential and commercial jobs, permits and inspections, and estimates that need a visit first.

No dedicated page yet

Pest control

Recurring service plans that renew every year, which is the same renewal problem as aerobic maintenance contracts.

No dedicated page yet

Lawn care

Route density is most of the margin, so routing and recurring visits matter most.

No dedicated page yet

Cleaning

Recurring bookings, crews to match to jobs, and reviews that decide who gets the next booking.

No dedicated page yet

Roofing

Estimate-heavy sales with long follow-up, where late estimates and unanswered quotes cost the most.

Only septic has its own page so far, because it is the trade we have worked in hands-on. For the others, the services above apply, and we start with a free business evaluation and say honestly what carries over.

Success story

Brown Aerobic: a case study with a working aerobic septic company

Brown Aerobic is a family-owned septic and excavation company serving seven Texas counties, and the partner we build and test these ideas with. This is a case study of the work, not a set of results: it shows what we do for a home service company and which parts are live.

  • A family-owned septic and excavation company in Texas
  • Service area of seven Texas counties
  • We built their bilingual website and work with them on operations

The same pieces apply to any trade that books jobs by area and sends out estimates. We have only done this work in septic so far, and we say so rather than imply it has been proven elsewhere.

We do not publish result figures, testimonials or customer counts on this page. What we describe here is the work, not a promise that your numbers will match anyone else's.

How it works

Start with a free business evaluation

No commitment. You get a plain list of what to fix first, whether or not you work with us.

  1. Free business evaluation

We look at your website, Google Business Profile, ads, reviews and field service setup and tell you what we would fix first.

  2. Pick one thing to fix

Most companies start with the one that hurts most, usually dispatch, follow-up or ads. You decide what we take on.

  3. Build, train, review

We configure and connect it, train the office and field team, and look at the numbers with you after a few weeks.

FAQ

Questions from home service company owners

Which trades is this for?

Home service companies that send technicians to customers: septic, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest control, lawn care, cleaning, roofing and similar trades, especially those that run on Housecall Pro or are thinking about it.

What is actually running and what is still in development?

With our septic partner we run dispatch and route planning, a website health dashboard and a Google Ads review, and we built their website. AI-assisted inspection-to-estimate is in development with a septic partner and is not a finished product. Each page says which one it is.

Have you done this for HVAC, plumbing or other trades?

Our hands-on work so far is with a septic company, and we say so. The approach to dispatch, follow-up, ads and reviews carries over to other trades, but we start with a free evaluation and tell you honestly what would and would not.

Do I need Housecall Pro?

Most of what we describe is built around Housecall Pro, so it fits best if you use it. If you use another field service tool, tell us and we will say honestly whether the ideas carry over.

Can you host and edit our website?

Yes. We host the site, keep it up to date and make changes for you or let you make them yourself. See our website development page for the sites we have built.

What does it cost?

It depends on the work and the size of your team. We tell you what we would do and what it would cost before any work begins.

Find out what to fix first at your company

Tell us about your company and we will look at your website, Google profile, ads and field service setup, then send a short list of what we would change first.
